Growing up, travel was a major part of my life. It was and remains an integral source of education and inspiration. When I travel, I actively search out the most interesting and innovative places. As a rule, I ask my friends and contacts in each city for a list of their favourite places. I then keep and share with others my lists of places both recommended and those I discovered myself. Therefore, I decided to create the kind of travel guide that I myself would nd useful: a carefully edited selection of the best places in a city – a book that is practical, beautiful, and, crucially, trustworthy.

The Considered Guide re ects the desires of the discerning traveller who cares deeply about how they spend their valuable time and money, and who appreciates impeccable service, beautiful design and attention to detail at every price level.
I am proud to say that I visited each and every place in this guide, and can vouch for the quality of each of them as personal recommendations.
