BONOTTOEDITIONS MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2016
For the Milano Design Week 2016, BONOTTOEDITIONS opened its doors in via Durini 24, to host to presented its textile universe in all of its forms.
BONOTTOEDITIONS is an experimental vessel of craftsmanship and innovation, where the love for the materials perfectly combines with the creative and innovative expertise of our culture: it’s a concept using fabrics to venture in the fields of art, fashion and design, with the artistic direction of Cristiano Seganfreddo, Founder of the project along with the Bonotto brothers.
THINKING TOGETHER – Is a tapestry, designed by the architect Italo Rota, whose aim is to represent the Craft concept: a sort of collective DNA, where thought and action are in a constant and mutual harmony and have the same intellectual and concrete value. Thinking Together aims to start a process to reconnect systems, focusing on artisanal planning and intuitive thinking, without the constant need to interpret or contextualize. It represents a precious object with a rare, individual history that can be freely decoded. A contemporary source of cultural nourishment, which celebrate Heritage as an engine of economic growth rather than just a sterile collection of memories.
MARBLE MAGIC ROOM – A magical room made of marbled fabric, created through a complex Jacquard technique. The gleaming fabrics and the blend of different textures create a stunning play of colors and light and shade effects that generate a surreal space – something in between reality and fantasy. These fabrics are an integral part of the Home Misser décor collection, designed by Matteo Cibic for BONOTTOEDITIONS; the collection includes armchairs, sofas, consoles, tables, lamps and magical mirrors.
INFINITY – This cascade of fabrics – all from the last BONOTTOEDITIONS collections – covers the façade of Palazzo Durini private garden, leading the visitors inside the building; this pathway showcasing the wonders of fabrics ends with an infinite table, an archive for the most creative fabrics ever designed by Giovanni Bonotto.
